Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of Udayana University’s Research Strategic Plan (RENSTRA) 2026-2030

Denpasar, May 12, 2026 — A focus group discussion on the 2026-2030 Udayana University Research Strategic Plan (Renstra) was held in the Auditorium of the BH Building, 4th Floor, Faculty of Economics and Business, JL PB Sudirman, Denpasar. The speakers were Prof. Dr. I Made Netra, S.S., M.Hum., Head of the Renstra Development Team, and Dr. Ir. Wayan Nata Septiadi, ST., MT., Secretary of the Renstra Team.
The Strategic Plan (Renstra) is developed as a guideline for the institution’s development in the medium and long term. One of the objectives of developing the Renstra at Udayana University is to serve as a reference for implementing university programs and activities in accordance with the institution’s vision and mission.

The FGD was attended by the Research Renstra Discussion Team. The event was divided into two sessions: presentations from the speakers and a discussion with the discussion team. The discussion team consisted of 26 people and the development team consisted of 42 people.

During this activity, the Head of the Strategic Plan Team presented material on the Presentation of the Draft Research Strategic Plan of the Udayana University Research Institute (LPPM) followed by material presented by the Secretary of the Strategic Plan on the Submission of Recommendations and Formulation of FGD Results.

The 2026-2030 Research Strategic Plan will serve as a reference for LPPM Unud in developing activities and annual work plans, which serve as policy directions and a roadmap for research implementation at Udayana University for the next five years. As a roadmap for research implementation, this strategic plan will be disseminated to all faculties and study programs, ensuring its targets are achieved as expected.

In the future, it is hoped that the quality of research at Udayana University will continue to improve, leading to improved community welfare. This FGD is expected to generate useful recommendations for refining the 2026-2030 Research Strategic Plan of Udayana University, in realizing sustainable downstreaming of superior research by strengthening collaboration with government agencies/institutions/departments and the private sector, as well as partners/villages, thus directly impacting the wider community.
